Nakkab is a multidisciplinary artist from Istanbul who has journeyed through the realms of visual arts. He began his artistic pursuits with ceramics&glass design at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. Subsequently, he pursued a degree in painting at Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts. In his artistic endeavors, Nakkab has the medium of tattooing for 9 years, where he has found a distinctive fusion of traditional Turkish marbling and contemporary tattooing. His process, “Sernakkab” is a series of surface artworks that seamlessly intertwine with body movements, creating radical compositions that are individually tailored to each person's muscle and bone anatomy.
