Verified by Inked Vice
The Verified by Inked Vice badge means we have reviewed an artist's profile and found clear signs that they are a real tattoo professional who meets our community standards.
The badge cannot be bought. It has to be earned.
Why Verification Matters
Tattooing is personal. Clients should feel confident about who they are booking with, and artists deserve a platform where authentic people and original work are protected.
Verification helps us reduce fake profiles, impersonation, stolen work, scams, and misleading information. It is one of the ways we are building a safer, more trusted tattoo community.
What We Review
Our verification process may include:
- A clear and identifiable artist presence
- A consistent history of professional tattoo work
- An original portfolio that accurately represents the artist's work
- Compliance with Inked Vice policies and community standards
- Professional activity outside Inked Vice, such as social media, studio websites, tattoo conventions, or connections with other verified artists
- Any other information needed to confirm the artist's identity or professional practice
We may ask an artist to provide additional information when their identity or work cannot be confirmed through publicly available sources.
Original Work and AI
Verified profiles must represent a real artist and their actual work.
Profiles that impersonate another person, misrepresent ownership of artwork, or primarily present an AI-generated identity are not eligible for verification.
Artists may still use AI tools responsibly as part of their creative process. Using these tools does not automatically prevent verification, as long as the artist presents themselves honestly and does not mislead clients about who they are or how their work was created.
The tattoo industry and creative technology are constantly changing, so our approach may continue to evolve.
How Long Verification Takes
We encourage every artist to complete verification.
Many cases can be verified instantly. Reviews that require a manual check are usually completed within 24 hours after all requested information has been provided.
Verification is being introduced on a rolling basis. Not seeing a badge on an artist's profile does not necessarily mean that the artist is untrustworthy or will not be verified in the future.
Some Inked Vice features may require verification. Any verification requirements will be clearly explained before an artist uses those features.
Keeping the Badge
Verification is not permanent by default. We may review verified profiles again to make sure their information remains accurate and that they continue to follow our policies.
A badge may be removed if:
- The profile contains false or misleading information
- The artist uses work they do not own
- The account changes ownership
- The artist violates Inked Vice policies
- We can no longer confirm the artist's identity or professional activity
Artists may contact us if they believe a verification decision was made incorrectly.
What the Badge Does Not Guarantee
The badge confirms that Inked Vice has reviewed the artist's identity, professional presence, and compliance with our standards.
It does not guarantee a particular artistic result, client experience, price, availability, licensing status, or the outcome of a tattoo appointment. Clients should still review the artist's portfolio, ask questions, and make informed booking decisions.
Help Us Protect the Community
We have zero tolerance for harassment, hate, discrimination, scams, impersonation, or unsafe behaviour.
If something does not feel right, please report it to support@inkedvice.com. Every report will be reviewed carefully and handled as privately as possible.
